Start the first step

One has to start some where. I have read many articles about starting a web based business. Apparently one can make lots of money, to today with few exceptions I don't know anybody that really did it from scratch. How do you do it. what to do first. How much money do I need and where do I get it to start with. I don.t know anything about internet.
Those are some of the questions that went thought my mind( if I had any)
No money No prospects No future.
